What is Etsy Made Local?
Good question! Etsy Made Local is a national, community-led initiative celebrating the crafters, collectors and artisans in local communities across the country. From coast to coast, Australian cities and towns will be participating in this one-day event powered by Etsy Teams on November 25, marking the event’s third year. Popping up in 11 locations, Etsy artisans will sell their handmade wares, vintage goods and supplies to local buyers at these marketplaces, each representing the spirit of the local community.
What is an Etsy Team?
Etsy Teams is a feature on Etsy that allows you to connect with other members of your community. You can use Team Forums to share information about running a business in your area, get advice from experienced members, or gather with peers to socialise and plan events. When is Etsy Made Local?
Etsy Made Local will take place around Australia on Saturday, November 25, 2017. The hours of each marketplace will vary.
How can I sell at an Etsy Made Local market?
Now that Etsy Made Local host locations have been confirmed it’s time to fill these markets up with some extraordinary Etsy sellers. That’s where you come in. Simply find your nearest market, click through to their respective vendor application form (if available), and follow the instructions to apply.

How are vendors for the marketplaces selected?
Vendors are selected for each marketplace by the Team running that location’s market.
How much does it cost to be a vendor at an Etsy Made Local?
Fees for being a vendor differ for each market. This is based on things like venue, marketplace size, etc.
How many Etsy sellers participate in this event?
In 2016, over 500 Etsy sellers participated in Etsy Made Local markets in Australia. With more locations in 2017, we expect to grow that number this year!
Are all the items sold at Etsy Made Local markets handmade?
All marketplace events are permitted to include the same three categories allowed on Etsy.com. These include handmade goods, vintage items, and supplies. To learn more about these three categories, click here.
